SharePoint 2016: Lookup Column Not Working

I have a lookup column that is not working and I only get "This Service is Not Available Right Now" when picking the dropdown. I do have correct permissions to both lists. How can i troubleshoot this?

To troubleshoot your issue, try as following:

Do all users occur the same issue when they select the look up column? Please ask other users to check it.
Clear the browser cache, refresh the list, then test again.
Create a new column to look up the source list column to compare the result.

yes all users experience this.

same results

I made a new column with the same settings and get the same results.

Thank you for your update.

Do you have some specific lookup column settings?

Since I cannot reproduce your issue, please switch to another site to check if the lookup column can be used.

In addition, when the error "This Service is Not Available Right Now" occur, please check ULS log to find any clues.
