I can’t turn on my WiFi

It said my wifi adaptor drivers were not found. I have tried to restart my HP laptop, reinstall the driver like the “get help” told but nothing seems to work. And I can’t find any other driver to download and fix this (if i could even use the wifi at all)

This situation happened when my laptop automatically updated from win10 to win11. Is it because of this?

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    It is necessary to investigate this issue to understand the reason for it.

    Please do the following:

    1. Press "Windows + X" and select "Device Manager";
    2. Click on the "View" menu and select "Show hidden devices";
    3. Expand "Network adapters";
    4. If the Wi-Fi adapter is listed, right-click and select "Properties". Check if there is an error in "Device Status". If you see an error under Device Status, please share a screenshot.
    • If you can't identify your PC's Wi-Fi adapter, share a screenshot of the network adapters.
    • Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool. Or take a picture of the screen using a camera or smartphone and share it.

    Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

    Maximize the window and use the screenshot tool. Or take a picture of the screen using a camera or smartphone and share it.

    I await your reply.

    Simples, no need to faf around with Device Manager, unless its a hw fauly

    Win11 by default only installs critical security updates, unless you made the mistake of selecting “Get latest updates” which includes drivers.

    See your laptop/PC makers support to update both bios and makers drivers.

    There should be a shortcut to that makers update utility on your system.

    Then set Bios to defaults & Pwr to balanced. At the end of the day shutdown, do not leave in sleep.

    Do NOT update from any other source inc Device Manager

    You only need to set the Advanced options for notify & Time, then leave win update to do its own thing.
