I'm importing a .vcs file to my outlook and it keeps disappearing after it says complete. How do I keep it from disappearing?

Every time I add a flight itinerary to my calendar it says that it's done. It briefly appears on the calendar and then when I select done it disappears and isn't there. I've tried restarting outlook, my laptop, and redownloading the file. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Riley. I think the issue is occurring due to the fact that New Outlook for Windows currently has limited support for importing .vcs calendar files. Even if the import process appears to complete, the event may not be saved due to it not being recognized within the new calendar architecture.

Other users have reported similar behavior especially when changing from Classic Outlook to the new version. The .vcs file may show the event for a little while but once you click “Done”, Outlook discards it as it was not saved.

You could try one of the following workarounds:

    1. Switch back to Classic Outlook and import the .vcs file there. Events that you add in Classic Outlook should sync with your Microsoft 365 calendar and will still show up even if you switch back to New Outlook.
    2. Change the .vcs file to the .ics format using an online converter. .ics is somewhat more supported in New Outlook. Once you have it converted, go to your calendar and select Add Calendar > Upload from File and import the .ics file.

    Here's the reference: Import
