ACCOUNT RECOVERY FOR MICROSOFT KEEPS FAILING

I am having the worst time trying to get access to my Personal Microsoft account. I keep having to re-do the account recovery but it keeps on failing. I do not have access to my recovery code, my microsoft authenticator account signed out, it can't even send a verification code text to the phone number I placed.

The final process of the Account Recovery asks if I have made a purchase for Microsoft 365. I have a receipt of the purchase of a Microsoft 365 subscription, I have access to my email account for the Microsoft account, but I do not know when my old credit card expired. Please help me get access to my account. This is so frustrating that we can't send a verification to the email used to create the account.

    Hi,

I have had my Hotmail account for more than 30 years. Recently, I bought a new phone and forgot my Microsoft password. I have two-step verification activated.

When I entered the last 4 digits of my phone number, it worked successfully. Then I saw the recovery email displayed as ra**@gmail.com*. I thought it was one account I knew, so I typed it and waited, but the code never arrived. Later, I remembered that I actually had another very similar Gmail account, and that was the correct one linked to my Microsoft account.

Now that I have access to both, the system no longer sends verification codes to my phone. It only sends codes to my email, but since I need both methods, I am locked out.

This situation is very serious for me because:

I have many important notes saved in OneNote.

I depend on my Microsoft Authenticator app for access to other accounts.

At my office PC I am still signed in with Microsoft, and Outlook is receiving emails. However, if I try to use OneNote, OneDrive, or any Microsoft services on the web, I am blocked.

I always use the same Wi-Fi, the same IP address, and the same devices. I am not trying to hack; this is my only account. I read that I can keep trying, but I also read that waiting is safer. I don’t know how long I should wait, and I am very afraid that the block could become permanent.

Please help me. I don’t know what else to do. I even created this new account just to ask for help here in the community, because chat and phone support did not work.

    Thank you.
