Whenever I create a new group or close it, it doesn't go into Tab Groups menu.

And I can't remove it from the UI via favorites bar too:

I tried to repair Edge via Installed Apps menu, but it didn't help.

    Okay. Now what happens is:

    1. In WORKSPACE, I create a tab group, give it a name.
    2. I click on Tab Groups Menu — Edge freezes, and then crashes.
    3. Then I open the browser, and see that the name is always number 1. So it doesn't remember the name I gave.

Ok, I found more details. The feture works in the window that is not inside the Workspace, just a normal window. However, it gets completely broken in a workspace.

I’m sorry that enabling the flag caused your Favorites bar to break, unfortunately, this is a known issue with Edge builds around early to mid‑2025. What you should do next?

Disable the Show Workspace Favorites in Favorites Bar flag via edge://flags

Restart Edge after disabling. Submit feedback via Alt + Shift + I

There is a known workaround via Edge experimental flags:

    In Edge, navigate to edge://flags.

    1. Search for “Show Workspace Favorites in Favorites Bar”.

    Set this flag to Enabled.

    Restart Edge.

If available in your build, this flag will bring back separate Favorites bars per workspace.

Hi Maxim, this is Kimberly, an independent advisor, I'm glad to assist you today.

Corrupted cached data can hinder Edge’s ability to track groups:

Go to Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data, include cache and cookies.

    Restart Edge.

Sync across devices may introduce inconsistencies:

Go to Profiles → Sync, and temporarily disable syncing for Tabs and Settings.

Close Edge fully, re-open and test tab grouping behavior.

Then re-enable syncing if the problem improves.

Should you have questions, please let me know.

    Best regards,

    Kimberly
