Important emails are ending up in the junk mail folder.

You can't disable the junk folder, but you can stop outlook from automatically putting emails in your junk folder.

Open Outlook

Go to the Home tab

Select Junk > Junk E‑mail Options

Choose No Automatic Filtering

This stops Outlook (the desktop app) from deciding what is junk.

If you want to hide the junk folder from view, you can also do that by putting all your folders except the junk folder in favorites.

Go to the left panel

Hover over a folder and click the 3 dots menu. Then click add to favorites.

If you do this to all folders except the junk folder, you get this layout.

The junk folder however, will still be included in the drop down for your email account. If that menu bothers you, you can collapse the menu.

Hello Gordon. To disable Outlook's junk mail filter in Classic Outlook for Windows, follow these steps:

Open Outlook and the Home tab.

Select Junk > Junk E-mail Options.

In the dialog box that opens select No Automatic Filtering. This disables Outlook's built-in junk filter but messages coming from Blocked Senders may still be moved to Junk.

To ensure your filtering is entirely disabled, go to the Blocked Senders tab and click Remove for all addresses.

The above steps will stop Outlook from automatically moving emails to Junk. You may also have other spam filter running, for example, antivirus or other third-party add-ins, which may also redirect email delivery.
