Hi,

Based on your description, you wanted to change your email but were unable to because of an error. This error indicates that the email address was already used or it was reserved by the email service provider.
May I ask if you are changing through your Microsoft account, Outlook app, or Windows account settings?
Have you ever used the email address before?

The email associated with my account is being phased out. My NEW email is ******@outlook.com. You reject this change because it is already in use. TRUE! That's my new address, which I have been using for several months. I also tried to list ******@yahoo.com. You reject it because it is already in use. TRUE! That's me, an account I've maintained since the year 2000. Eventually the embarqmail address associated with this account will cease to be available. I am trying to provide you with an alternate addres. But your program does not accept it! VERY frustrating.

Let me know which service or platform you're trying to change your email on:

Microsoft account (Outlook, Office 365, Entra ID)?

Google/Gmail?

Apple ID?

Any Social Media Acc.etc.?
