On my Macbook I can log into my M365 account and install all apps. When I log in to set up One drive or Defender I get an error statement - Too many requests.

I have already tried:

  1. Attempting at a later stage (next day also)
  2. Turning off wi-fi and using data
  3. VPN is none
  4. Restart the phone

    Hi Raman,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and for providing detailed information about your issue. I regret to hear that you are encountering the error: Too many requests when trying to log in from your phone. I am here to help you troubleshoot this problem.

Here are some steps that might assist in resolving or working around the issue,

Access OneDrive or Defender via a browser instead of the mobile app until the issue is resolved.

    Use Web Access Temporarily

You can access OneDrive or Defender through a web browser instead of the mobile application until the issue is fixed.

    Avoid Repeated Login Attempts

Making multiple login attempts can exacerbate the rate-limiting issue. It’s advisable to wait a while before trying again.

    Clear App Cache or Reinstall

For Android/iOS users, clearing the app cache or reinstalling the application may help to reset the connection.

Hope this helps, let me know if still need further assistance, and I'll be more than happy to help.

    Warm regards,

    Edward Schlobohm
