    Hello Carlos Sensei,

It looks like you’re having trouble finding the BitLocker recovery code for your laptop. You mentioned that your device is recognized and linked to your Microsoft account, and you’ve been able to get the BitLocker code using this account in the past, but now you can’t find any recovery keys.

Here are a few things you can try:

Double-check the Microsoft account you logged in with; sometimes people have more than one account and the key could be saved under a different one.

Visit https://account.microsoft.com/devices and sign in with your Microsoft account. Look for your device and see if there’s a link to “Manage recovery keys” or “Get BitLocker keys.”

If your device belongs to your work or school, check with your IT administrator since the key could be stored with them.

If you recently changed your account, device settings, or reinstalled Windows, the recovery key might have been updated or lost from your cloud account. Check for any backups you may have saved (USB, printout, etc.).

If you have previously saved the recovery key locally (like a file, printout, or USB), try to locate those backups as well.

If you still can’t find your key, your options may be limited, as Microsoft and most support forums recommend recovery through the steps above. If you’re unable to retrieve the recovery key, unfortunately, access to the encrypted data cannot be restored.

    Best Regards,

    Jerald Felix

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

To help narrow down the issue:

    1. Do you remember if you ever saved the recovery key somewhere else besides your Microsoft account? Maybe printed it, saved it to a USB drive, or wrote it down?
    2. Also, could you double-check if you're currently signed in with that same Microsoft account on the device or the recovery page?

Also if you haven’t already, try signing in using an incognito/private window or a different browser. Sometimes browser cache or session issues can interfere with loading the correct account data.

Should you need further information please let me know.

Thank you for letting me know.

Since you've successfully accessed the recovery key from this same account before, that does make this more unusual.

Just to rule out anything temporary, could you try signing into the recovery page using an incognito or private browser window? Sometimes, browser cache or session issues can stop the keys from showing properly: https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey

Also, double-check that you're signed into the exact same Microsoft account you've used previously to retrieve the key.
