    Hello,

The issue might be the battery itself; once you charge and discharge the battery a certain amount of times, the battery eventually wears out and is unable to hold a charge anymore.

I recommend taking your laptop to your local PC repair shop so that they can take a look at it, since newer laptops have batteries inside the laptop and make it harder for people to access.

    Hope this helps.

Hi! The issue is likely one of three things:

    • A failing charger (delivers too little current despite showing “Plugged in”)
    • A worn-out battery (can’t hold or accept charge)
    • A firmware/software issue (power controller or driver stuck)

Begin by testing a different compatible charger, resetting the power circuitry by pressing the power button for 30 seconds while the charger is disconnected, and reviewing HP apps settings.

If none of these steps improve the issue, proceed to run a battery health test, you can do this inside the HP app, If the test indicates a low full charge capacity, replacement of the battery is necessary.

If the battery appears to be in good condition, reinstall the ACPI driver and update the BIOS/firmware.
