I have successfully joined the Microsoft 365 Developer Program. However, the option to set up my free E5 sandbox subscription is not appearing on my dashboard. I have a welcome email that confirms I am a member. When I try to set up my subscription, it just redirects me back to the main developer program page.

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

Updating my account preferences and selecting 'Personal projects' and 'Microsoft Graph'.

Linking my GitHub account.

The issue seems to be with my account's status, as I am unable to proceed with setting up the subscription. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi sidney, this is Kimberly, an independent advisor. I'm glad to assist you today.

    Check Your Region and Eligibility

The free E5 developer subscription is only available in supported countries/regions.

Make sure your Microsoft account profile (https://account.microsoft.com/profile) reflects a supported region.

    Supported regions list: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/dev-program#countries

Then even if you received a welcome email, verify the portal status.

    Go to: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/profile

Confirm that your Dev Program status shows as “Active”.

If it shows as “Pending” or has any warning icons, the setup might not have completed successfully.

Should you have more questions, please let me know.

    Best regards,

    Kimberly

    Hi @sidney friday

My name is Harry, Support Engineer who specialize in UWP (Universal Windows Platform). Thank you for reaching out on Microsoft Q&A and sharing the steps you've already taken—it's great to hear you've successfully joined the Microsoft 365 Developer Program.

We understand how frustrating it can be when the E5 sandbox setup option doesn’t appear as expected. Here are a few steps that may help resolve the issue:

    • Try using Incognito Mode or clear cache, cookies.
    • Wait a few days. After joining the Developer Program, it may take some time for the sandbox provisioning option to become available. Please allow up to 48 hours for the system to update your account status.
    • Contact Microsoft Support. If the issue persists beyond this period, we suggest contacting Microsoft 365 Support directly thought this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/

I hope this helps you get things back on track quickly! If my suggestions can solve your issue, feel free to interact with the system accordingly!

    Thank you!
