How to completely remove built-in bluetooth driver?

Hello, I've recently purchased a bluetooth dongle to use and I want to completely disable the internal bluetooth and prevent it from re-installing on its own. I have tried several things, including uninstalling from device manager, but it keeps coming back. There's no options in the BIOS to turn off the settings nor in MSI Center. I also tried blocking it using the Group Policy thing, using hardware IDs and it didn't work. I also tried removing it through command prompt but whenever i restart the PC, it keeps reinstalling it. It keeps reinstalling for every restart, how do i keep it from re-installing? My motherboard is MSI PRO B650M-A Wifi.

If you uninstall a device in Device Manager, Windows will continually re-install the device you have uninstalled, if you right click that device in Device Manager and choose the Disable option, then Windows should leave that device disabled and not re-enable it automatically.

If that does not work for oyu, right click that device in Device Manager and select Properties, then on the resulting dialog, select the Driver tab and choose to re-install the drive, then choose to install a driver from your PC and uncheck the option to show compatible drivers, then try to install a different incompatible driver, that should stop that Bluetooth radio from working, it would be disabled.

Windows 11 – Using Settings

Press Windows + i to open Settings.

Select Bluetooth & Devices in the left sidebar.

Click Devices on the right.

Locate your device, click the three dots next to it, and choose Remove Device.

Windows 10 – Using Settings

Press Windows + i to open Settings.

Select Devices.

Click Bluetooth & Other Devices in the left sidebar.

Select your device, click Remove Device, and choose Yes.

Removing via Device Manager (Deletes Device and Drivers)

Right-click the Start menu and select Device Manager.

Select View > Show hidden devices.

Expand Bluetooth, right-click your device, and select Uninstall Device.

In the prompt, check Delete the driver software for this device if available.

Click OK and restart your PC.

Permanent Driver Removal via Command Prompt

Open Device Manager and expand Bluetooth.

Right-click the device, select Properties, and go to the Details tab.

From Property dropdown, choose Device Instance Path.

Copy the value in Value field.

Open Command Prompt as administrator.

Run: pnputil /remove-device "DEVICE_ID" replacing DEVICE_ID with the copied value.
