- Do you have the option to reset your password on the sign-in screen?
Select the 'Forgot my Password' option on the sign-in screen to reset your password.
- If you're not stuck on the sign-in screen, are you being asked for the Administrator password on the screen with the blue background?
- May I please know if you fully factory reset your computer when you purchased the refurbished laptop? Because, if you haven't done that, the device might be asking for a password for the previous user who is the administrator of the PC. This happens if you haven't logged into your computer for a long time.
- Also, are you able to sign in with your Microsoft account online using your new password?

If you could provide us with a screenshot of the screen you're currently stuck on, it would be helpful for us to guide you in the right direction.
If you do not have any important things on the laptop, we can also try fully reset your computer from the Windows recovery environment screen.
