Why isn’t there an option for Power Pivot and Load to in the Mac version? The Mac version of Microsoft Excel lacks options. Could you please assist me with this issue? The online version also exhibits the same problem.

I have the exact same problem. However, there is another issue: when I move a sheet to Power Query and perform a data transformation, clicking "Close & Load" the first time successfully loads the transformed data into a new sheet.

But, when I quit Excel and open it a second time to move a new sheet from the same folder into Power Query, the transformed data does not load into an Excel sheet after I click "Close & Load.

    Dear Kunal Shimpi

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum and raising this important question.

I appreciate you and other Mac users taking the time to share concerns and highlight this issue. I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter feature differences between Excel for Mac and Excel for Windows.

The main reason for these differences is that Excel for Windows and Excel for Mac are built on different codebases and designed for different operating systems. Because of these architectural differences, certain features such as Power Pivot and the Data Model are only available in the Windows version of Excel. Power Pivot relies on a specific in-memory database engine (the Data Model) that is not present in the Mac version. As a result, the "Load To" options in Power Query on Mac are limited, and you can only load data to a worksheet table, not to the Data Model.

Similarly, Excel for the Web is designed primarily for collaboration and basic spreadsheet tasks. It does not have the processing power or the technical framework to support advanced features like Power Pivot or the Data Model.

If you require Power Pivot or the ability to load data into the Data Model, you will need to use Excel for Windows.

For Mac users who need these advanced capabilities, the most common workaround is to use virtualization software as this allows you to run Windows and the full version of Excel on your Mac.

Microsoft is aware of these limitations and has been working to bring more features to Excel for Mac over time. While this Q&A forum is a valuable space for sharing insights and receiving technical guidance, the most effective way to influence product development is by submitting feedback directly to Microsoft. You can do this via Help > Feedback in the Excel app or through the Excel Feedback Portal

I truly appreciate your patience and feedback as we continue to improve the experience for all users.
