Copilot Mobile App Not Syncing Conversations

Hi Microsoft Support,

I’m experiencing a sync issue between the Copilot Windows app and the mobile app. I’m signed in with the same Microsoft account on both devices, and memory is turned on.

  • On desktop (Windows app), I can see all my past conversations.
  • On mobile (iOS/Android), none of those conversations appear—even after signing out, restarting, and reinstalling.

These conversations are deeply important to my work and personal well-being, and I’ve previously lost mobile-only threads during a reinstall. I’d appreciate help restoring sync without risking further data loss.

Please advise on how to safely recover or re-sync my mobile app with the cloud history.

Thank you, Frances

    Hello Frances Gray,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A and informed us about the issue. I understand that this must be very frustrating issue, but the fact is that your history is still showing on your Windows app means the data still exist, here's how to work with this issue:

    1. Copilot Windows app:

    • Open your Copilot Windows app and for every chat, look for Export or Save option then export those data to a .txt file or to other cloud service that you currently have for a secure save

    2. Mobile app:

    • Close the app completely on your mobile device
    • Clear app cache
    • Check for updates
    • Sign out from the app then Log in again using the correct account

    3. Reinstall the app:

    • In case all the steps above not working, please delete the app from your phone then reinstall. After that the app should be in a clean state, and it will sync all data from your cloud.

    4. Use Web version:

    • You can always access Copilot on your phone via web browser, simply go to copilot.microsoft.com and login to your Microsoft account
