That error code means the subscription billing profile in your Microsoft account is stuck in a corrupted state. Clearing cache or switching browsers won’t fix it, the problem is server-side.
Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and see if the subscription shows “Past due” or “Payment failed.” If it does, remove the existing payment method completely, then add a new one. Don’t just update the card, it must be deleted and re-added.
If you can’t update payment there and the same error keeps coming up, the billing profile itself has to be reset by Microsoft Support. You’ll need to contact them directly at https://support.microsoft.com/contactus and reference the exact error string “InvalidRecurrenceState.” That flag can only be cleared on the back end.
