However, duplex settings are often part of the printer’s DEVMODE structure, which is a binary configuration managed by the printer driver. This means the "Print on both sides" option may not appear as a readable registry value and is not easily modified or viewed directly through Registry Editor.
For consistent duplex defaults, we recommend configuring the setting via Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Printer Preferences, which ensures the driver applies it across all applications. If you're managing printers in an enterprise environment, Group Policy or print server configurations may offer more control.
