I believe my Outlook email account has been hacked. I can no longer see my recent emails, and I’ve noticed several suspicious drafts in my mailbox containing threatening messages claiming that my account has been compromised and demanding money.

Additionally, when I checked my account activity, I saw multiple login attempts from various countries around the world that I do not recognize.

Please assist me in securing my account as soon as possible. I am worried about the privacy of my information and would appreciate urgent support.

Thank you in advance.

You can't change the account password as in order to do so you need a security code, which in their infinite wisdom Microsoft think it is best to be sent to the e-mail address of whoever has hacked your account.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Based on your description, kindly change your account password and enable the two-step verification feature immediately on account.microsoft.com > Security > Turn on two-step verification.

Also, please make sure that there are no unfamiliar email address/phone number added to your account's security info on account.microsoft.com > Security > Manage How you Sign in.

Note: Ensure that your account's security info is always updated and that you always have access to them.

If there is an unfamiliar email/phone number in your security info, click on Manage, then remove it.

Then please sign in to outlook.live.com > click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the page > delete any rules that are set up there > and go to Forwarding and IMAP, then delete them as well.
