My w and 2 keys are not working properly

Question

As the title states, the W and 2 keys have stopped working correctly on my laptop. Sometimes they work as normal for a few short moments, others they don't work at all. I want to check under the keys but I'm hesitant to try removing them as I don't know if I can easily re-attach them on this model.I've tried running the Keyboard troubleshooter to no affect,. I mainly use this laptop for gaming so an unreliable W key is absolutely unacceptable. I have no idea what could be causing it to act this way, or how to fix the issue. The warranty also expired with no option to extend so I'd rather avoid sending it off for out-of-pocket repairs if there's somehow I can fix this on my own.

This is usually a hardware issue with the keyboard. Underneath the keyboard, there is a circuit board with numerous signal tracks. Cracks in the tracks, dust or debris buildup, or corrosion can disrupt the signal flow. Holding down a different key can send the signal through an alternate track, which is why it sometimes works.

To diagnose a keyboard problem, it's essential to test with the onscreen keyboard or a different keyboard via USB or Bluetooth. If the alternative keyboard works, it's certain that the issue is hardware-related.
