    Hello gsap,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum!

I understand that you're not receiving emails from a specific sender you've previously communicated with, and they’re not in Junk or blocked. Here are some steps that you could try:

    1. Check the “Focused Inbox” and “Other” tabs

Sometimes emails are sorted into the Other tab.

    2. Search your mailbox

Use the search bar to look for the sender’s email address or subject keywords.
Sometimes emails are misfiled or archived.

    3. Check Inbox Rules

Go to Settings > Mail > Rules

    • Look for any rules that might be moving or deleting emails from that sender.
    • Disable or delete any suspicious rules.

    4. Check Blocked Senders and Safe Senders

Go to Settings > Mail > Junk email

    • Make sure the sender is not blocked
    • Add the sender’s email to the Safe senders and domains list

    5. Ask the sender to check their side

The problem may be on their end. Please kindly ask the sender to:

    • Check Their Sent Folder: Ask them to confirm the email was sent successfully and is still in their Sent Items.
    • Look for a Bounceback Message: Ask them to check their inbox and junk mail for a "delivery failed" or "undeliverable" message. This message is critical as it contains the exact reason why the email was not delivered.

I truly hope it helps! Please feel free to let me know how it goes. Take care!

    Warm regards

Microsoft has tightened up the rules on what mail gets thru the their email server filters.
    https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/exchange/announcing-new-dmarc-policy-handling-defaults-for-enhanced-email-security/3878883

Please note that these are server filters. i.e. The mail will be blocked before it ever gets to your Outlook client. Nothing you do on your client (Safe/Blocked senders) will have any affect.

What is the domain (the part after the "@") of the sender's email? Do NOT reply with the sender's full email address.

When was the last time you received email from them?

If you can contact the sender by other means, ask if they got a Non-Delivery Report on the email they sent you. If so, what was the reason for the bounce?

Please check that the address is in your Safe Senders list and not in Blocked Senders under Settings > Mail > Junk Email. Look in both Focused and Other tabs, and review any Inbox rules that might move or delete the message. Also confirm Outlook is not set to Work Offline, and ask the sender to verify your address is not blocked on their end.
