Hi,

I am trying to save my Excel file and is receiving an error message Üpload Pending" Please help.

Same issue here. I believe I'm saving it locally but location syncs to OneDrive. See picture below I click Save button that you see in picture and nothing happens. I wait hours and click Save, same message. Tried rebooting; reopening Excel and saving but same message. I logged into OneDrive, then navigated back to Excel, clicked Save. Same Upload Pending.

Same issue here. Cant Connect To Server or Upload Pending when trying to rename or save my work into OneDrive.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for letting me know about the issue you're facing with Excel. The “Upload Pending” message usually means Excel is having trouble syncing your file to OneDrive or SharePoint.

Here are a few quick steps you can try:

Check OneDrive Sync Status Make sure OneDrive is running and signed in. If it’s paused or showing errors, resume syncing or restart the app.
Save Locally First Try saving the file to your desktop or another local folder. Then manually upload it to OneDrive to avoid losing changes.
Close and Reopen Excel Sometimes a simple restart of Excel and OneDrive can resolve the issue.
Update Office Apps Ensure Excel and OneDrive are up to date. Compatibility issues can cause sync errors.

I tried all of those and it still didn't work. Today, I don't seem to be having the problem anymore. Right now I'm assuming it was a problem on Microsoft side.

Microsoft issue. Mine resolved within hours without my having to troubleshoot.

I tried all those points and I still get Upload Pending in Excel. I have also gone online and found other things I have tried all without success.

If I multiple click the save file icon eventually it saves. However after making more changes to the file and and autosave tries to save, it gets upload pending. This is so frustrating because if I forget to look out for the upload pending, I lose any changes. I am not using a business account, it is my own personal Microsoft 365.
