How to Unblock Azure Tenant - Error code: AADSTS5000225

I am trying to regain access to my Azure tenant and not having much luck. How do I unblock my azure account when getting this error?

Error code: AADSTS5000225

Error message: AADSTS5000225: This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity.

The error message you are seeing indicates that your tenant has been inactive for more than 200 days after the billing cycle, which triggered Microsoft’s process to remove inactive tenants. At this stage, the OMS commerce system places a login block AADSTS5000225, twenty days after this block is applied, the tenant is permanently deleted.

To restore access, the tenant must have been blocked for less than 20 days. After 30 days, the tenant is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

If your tenant has been blocked for less than 20 days, please share the following details via private message for further review:

Tenant ID or Domain Name

Affected Account Email address

Business impact and justification for restoring the tenant, and an explanation of the impact if the tenant cannot be restored.

To help restore access, please provide the requested details as soon as possible.

As part of lifecycle management policies, these are blocked but Microsoft sends email notifications to the admin. If you are the admin, please check your inbox and spam folders for the same. Administrators can request a tenant to be reactivated within 20 days of the tenant entering an inactive state. Tenants that remain in this state for longer than 20 days are deleted.

If you are not the admin, please reach out to your organizations Admin who is listed as Global Administrator to resolve this issue. If the tenant is within the “grace period” that is-administrator requests for reactivation within the 20 days, it can be recovered otherwise unblocking may not be possible.

The issue you were facing occurred because authentication for your Azure tenant has been blocked due to inactive. To resolve this, we reached out to the Product Group team internally. They have since unblocked your tenant, and please check and confirm, if you are able to access it successfully or not.
