Windows 10, lock screen suddenly has some extra info on it that I don't want. Any idea what caused it?

Hi, Steve! How are you? Thanks for posting. What you are seeing is from Windows Spotlight with the option to show extra info like news and tips. To stop this, go to Settings, then Personalization, then Lock screen. Change the background from Windows Spotlight to Picture or Slideshow.

If you want to keep Spotlight images, turn off the option “Get fun facts, tips, tricks, and more on your lock screen.” Also set detailed and quick status apps to None. This will remove the extra cards so only the time, date, and your chosen background show.

    Regards,

    Arlene D.

    The settings have changed.

Go to Settings, Personalisation, Lock screen and turn of anything you don't want - especially widgets.
