Regarding that you can't log in to your school account to use the word app. I’d like to ask a few quick questions to better assist you:
- Does this issue affect other users in your institution?
- Have you tried logging in to Word on the web (via office.com)?
- Is the issue limited to Word, or does it also occur with other Microsoft 365 apps?
In the meantime, here’s a quick troubleshooting step you can try:
Go to Control Panel
Internet Options >
Connections > LAN settings
check Automatically detect settings and click OK
And make sure that you have also check the TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 in the advance tab
