I have the same problem where the camera drivers suddenly get corrupted and the system does not recognise the camera anymore.

On some occasions, I have gone into the Device manager and uninstalled all the camera drivers and restart the laptop. On some occasions it did work although it was only temporary... It now seems to be permanent as of February 2026.

    Hi,

All of your drivers are related to the Qualcomm(R) Spectra(TM) 695 ISP camera subsystem, and there is no clear indication that the IR camera is specifically installed.

The Spectra 695 ISP should support the IR cameras for Windows Hello facial recognition (Technically). However, it appears that the driver is missing. Therefore, I recommend contacting the camera manufacturer (in this case, Qualcomm) and installing the necessary drivers for your camera hardware to detect the IR sensor.

Let me know if you still need more help.

Ensure IR drivers are installed and working properly in Device Manager.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

May I please know if the IR Camera drivers are installed properly and being recognized by the system?

    1. Go to Device Manager.
    2. Expand the arrow next to Cameras.

See if you have both the Camera and IR drivers working.

If the IR Camera drivers are no longer detected by Windows, go to your PC manufacturer's website and download the IR Camera driver for your pc, then install it.

Also, try updating your chipset and BIOS drivers for your PC to see if you can enable the Windows Hello facial recognition feature again.

Let me know if you still need more help.
