Account Recovery - 30 day cooldown

Question

Hello,

I believe my Microsoft account may have been compromised. I noticed that one of the authentication emails linked to my account ends with czarnuch.com, which I do not recognize or own.

I can still log in to my account with my email and password, but when I try to update or remove the suspicious security information, I always receive the message that I must wait 30 days to make changes. I submitted a request to change my security info on August 18th, 2025, so the 30-day period should already be complete. However, I am still receiving the same message telling me to wait another 30 days.

I cannot see how many days are left (if any), nor do I know if the countdown is even progressing. I am very concerned that my account remains vulnerable while this is unresolved since I have purchased many xbox games under this account. I also have an ssd with bitlocker and I can't access it now because I need to authenticate to access the codes for this...
