I Cannot post an answer to a quesiton

Question

I was able to post a question, and a user was able to answer, but I cannot post an answer about the results of the steps the user posted to my question.

Whenever I press the submit button, the page is refreshed, and my text is gone.

I have tried this with both Microsoft Edge and Firefox. Both browsers are the latest up to date versions.
