    Hello YaoChu Lee,

If your Azure for Students account is locked, this usually happens due to one of the following reasons:

    • Security/identity verification issues
    • Student status not verified or expired
    • The 12-month student subscription offer has ended

To better assist you, could you please clarify a few details?

    1. What exact error message do you see when trying to sign in?
    2. Did you receive any email notification from Microsoft about the lock or suspension?
    3. Have you recently re-verified your student status with your school email or ISIC card?
    4. How long have you been using the Azure for Students subscription?

Steps you can try in the meantime:

    1. Check your email and error messages – Microsoft often provides a reason (security, verification, subscription expiry).
    2. Reset or recover your account if it’s flagged for suspicious activity: Recover Microsoft Account.
    3. Re-verify student status if prompted, using your official school email or ISIC: Azure for Students Verification.
    4. Expired offer – If the 12-month subscription ended, you’ll need to upgrade to a Pay-As-You-Go subscription (credit/debit card required).

    Documentation:

I hope the above helps. Please do let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you!
