Subject: Request for Help with Lost OneDrive Family Subscription Controlling Account

Dear Microsoft Support Team,

We are writing to request your assistance with our OneDrive Family subscription.

A few months ago, my friend and I created a common Microsoft account to purchase a OneDrive Family plan. After that, we added our personal Microsoft IDs under this subscription. Unfortunately, we have now lost access to that original “common account,” which is actually the controlling account for the subscription.

Due to recent changes in autopay rules for debit cards (IDFC Bank), our payment method is failing, and we are unable to update or manage the subscription without access to the original account. We have tried the “Recover Account” option multiple times, but it has not been successful.

We are willing to provide identity and ownership proofs such as Aadhaar, bank details, and any other information you require to verify our claim. Our only request is to help us regain access to the original subscription-controlling account (or at least allow us to update the payment method), so that our OneDrive Family services continue without interruption.

We would be very grateful if you could guide us on the next steps.

Thank you for your support.

    Hi Naveen

Try using the Microsoft Account Recovery Form to regain access to the shared account: https://account.live.com/acsr

Please fill out as much information as you can. Even if you don’t remember the full email ID, try entering any possible variations you might have used. Include details like previous passwords, services you used (such as OneDrive or Outlook), the approximate date the account was created, and any billing information like the last 4 digits of the card used.

    Best,

    Jeric

Also might depend on exactly what you mean by "After that, we added our personal Microsoft IDs under this subscription."
