How to fix error code 0xA00F4243<CameraReservedByAnotherApp>(0xC00D3704)

Question

When I try to open my camera on my Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14IWL I get the code 0xA00F4243<CameraReservedByAnotherApp>(0xC00D3704). My shutter is open. Device manager says the camera is working properly. I've updated drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my computer and still get the same code. Lenovo Vantage gives instructions to go to Microsoft. Went through all of that troubleshooting and still get the same error. Help!

Have you tried a hard reset?

Turn off the laptop completely.

Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery (if it’s removable).

Hold the power button for 15–30 seconds to drain any remaining power.

Reconnect the battery and charger, then turn the device back on.

If your laptop has a non-removable battery, just hold the power button down for about 15–20 seconds until it shuts off, then restart it.
