How to export a database diagram of all the tables at once. There are so many tables to deal with one by one. Also, I want to see all of the PK/FK relationships from one window or chart.
And if possible, to have the diagrams compatible with the Mermaid Charts format .mmd
Right-click the database and select New Diagram. In the box that appears you get a list of all the tables. Press the Shift key and move to the end of the box and click the last table. You have now selected all tables, and you will get a diagram with all tables, which you can do what ever you like.
There is no functionality to save the diagram any specific format like Mermaid.

There are so many tables to explore in the server's laggy viewer. I tried to paste the clipboard to Word, for example, just for testing; nothing happened.
Is there a canvas tool that I could use to view and manipulate the diagram as needed?
Which software is compatible with my clipboard's content or with the saved diagram file?
The diagramming feature in SSMS is fairly rudimentary. It has been around for twenty years (at least), but there has not been much development to it. It might work somewhat OK for a database with 20-30 tables, but if you have several hundreds of them, the best you can do is to select the ones you are interested of for the diagram. But of course, that requires that you beforehand knows which tables you need. Which is unlikely if you are just getting acquainted with a complex data model.
There are other tools out there can produce database diagrams and help with data modelling. I've used PowerDesigner from SAP in the past, but it is horridly expensive. There are other tools on the market, and some are more budget-friendly, but I have not kept up with this market.
