Why am I unable to open Outlook on Edge?

I have always been able to bring up Edge and access my Outlook. Now it will not load. BUT, I can open Outlook from the New Outlook icon on my task Bar. Apparently we can only get into our mail through that NEW OUTLOOK icon on the task bar. Makes me wonder what good Edge is for. I browse once in a while, but getting my mail is priority.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

To help narrow down the issue:

    1. When you try to open Outlook in Edge, what exactly happens? For example, do you get an error message, or does the page just stay blank?
    2. Also, have you had a chance to check if Outlook loads in another browser, like Chrome or Firefox?

If it does seem to only happen in Edge, I’d suggest a few quick steps to try:

    • Make sure your browser is closed, and you have administrative rights to your device.
    • Press the Windows + I key to open Settings. > Click on the "Apps" tab.
    • Click on "Installed apps." > Scroll through the app list or use the search bar to locate the Microsoft Edge.
    • Click the three-dots menu (...) next to Microsoft Edge and select "Modify"
    • When prompted to allow changes, select Yes.
    • Now, make sure you're connected to the internet and choose Repair. This process should not affect your browser data and settings.
    • Wait for the process to complete, after that, Edge will open, close it and restart your PC.

If the issue persists, please provide more details by answering my questions.
