I have very sensitive files that I backup on flash drives and I do not want OneDrive to be automatically uploading all my files. How can I stop this automatic Backup from happening?

    Hello Clifford,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community! To disable folder Backup, right-click the OneDrive cloud icon located in your system tray, then navigate to Settings → Sync and Backup → Manage Backup. From there, you can turn off the backup for your Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folders. Alternatively, you can stop OneDrive from launching automatically. To do this, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), go to the Startup tab, locate Microsoft OneDrive, right-click on it, and select Disable.

Please feel free to respond if you need further clarification.

    Warm regards,

    JayMark
