Best (EA) and (CSP) to allow Azure reservations in India

We are a business operating in India, and we actively use Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Virtual Desktop services in the Central India region.

Currently, under the Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA), we are unable to purchase Azure Reserved VM Instances in India due to regional restrictions. This limitation significantly impacts our ability to optimize costs for long-term workloads.

We understand that Enterprise Agreement (EA) and Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) models may allow reservations in India, but there is limited clarity and accessibility around this for many organizations.

🙏 What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking recommendations for:

  • Trusted EA or CSP partners who can help us purchase Azure Reserved VM Instances for our workloads in India.
  • Partners who can guide us through the transition from MCA to EA/CSP, if needed.
  • Contact details (email, website, phone) of CSPs or EA licensing partners who are active in India and have experience with Azure reservations.

📌 Our Goal:

To reserve our existing Azure VM instances (including AVD session hosts) for 3 years to optimize costs and ensure predictable billing.

Any guidance, referrals, or direct contact information would be greatly appreciated!

    AH - Piyush hi,

you are right, the ability to purchase reservations can depend heavily on the agreement type and the partner.

let's clarify the situation. the microsoft customer agreement often has restrictions for purchasing reservations in certain markets like india. moving to an enterprise agreement or working with a cloud solution provider is indeed the standard path to unlock this capability.

since this forum is for technical support and we cannot endorse specific partners, i will guide you on how to find the right one yourself. your best starting point is the official microsoft partner center. go to the microsoft solution provider page https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/solution-providers/home. there, you can search for partners in 'india' who have the 'cloud platform' competency. this competency means they are certified and skilled in selling and managing azure services, including reservations.

when you contact a partner, you should ask them directly. "can you facilitate the purchase of azure reserved virtual machine instances for the central india region under a csp agreement?" this will confirm their capability immediately.

another route is to contact microsoft directly through your account representative. if you have an mca, you might have an assigned microsoft representative who can connect you with their local ea or csp partners in india.

use the official microsoft solution provider directory to find certified partners in india, and then vet them specifically on their ability to sell azure reservations for your region.

    regards,

    Alex
