I have a similar problem - after recovering from a SSD C: failure by replacing it and reloading windows 11, my D: drive is now E: and Disk Manager hasn't the option D: it has all the other letters of the alphabet except C:
Cant see/find my D and E drive after windows 11 update
Since my laptop was updated to windows 11, my D and E drives are missing. Cant see them on the Disk management tool as well. Can you help me find and re-name them back to normal.

2025-10-01T05:18:59.35+00:00 Hello! Leon. Thanks for the details.
First is to Confirm They’re Really Missing, so check if they’re detected at all:
- Press Win + X → Disk Management.
- If you see “Unallocated space” instead of D: and E:, they’re still there but partitions are lost — you’ll need to recover them.
- If they’re not listed at all, continue below.
- Press Win + X → Device Manager → Disk drives.
- See if the missing drives are listed here (maybe as “Unknown” or “Generic”).
- If you see them with a yellow icon → right-click → Update driver or Enable device.
See if this helps. If you need further assistance, just let me know.
Best regards,
Kimberly
