Support for white-space: pre-wrap in Outlook Web

Hello, I am wondering whether the style="white-space: pre-wrap" applied to <p> tags is properly supported in Outlook Web (Outlook.com or Office 365 Web Mail). When I set it this way, multiple spaces appear as a single space, and line breaks seem to be added automatically. Does this style work correctly when applied inline as well?

Hello, white-space: pre-wrap isn’t reliably supported in Outlook Web (Outlook.com or Office 365 Mail), this behavior is by design since Outlook uses its own rendering rules that differ from standard browsers.

It’s better to insert <br> for line breaks and use &nbsp; for extra spaces.

If you need to check which CSS properties work across different Outlook versions, I recommend these compatibility references:

This way you’ll avoid inconsistent spacing across clients.
