Onedrive refusing to sign in

I’m trying to sync my OneDrive to my PC. It has been working fine for the past three years, but on Monday morning, when I switched on my computer, it suddenly started showing a login issue. Someone was able to fix it for me at the time, but this morning when I turned it on again, the same problem occurred.

I’ve already tried several troubleshooting steps I found online, including removing credentials in Credential Manager, uninstalling, and resetting, but nothing has worked. I also tried different internet connections. I’m unable to continue my work without it. Please help!User's image

Great so rename the old one drive, and then lets perform a reset of one drive and then sign in. Let me know what happens

Further if it does not work, then:

    Clear OneDrive Cache and Logs

    Quit OneDrive completely.

Go to %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\logs and delete all files inside the logs folder.

Delete leftover OneDrive folders in %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive and %appdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive after uninstalling OneDrive, then reinstall.

o365 Desktop or web access only?

    If desktop start with this

Restart the PC, once fully loaded, repair Office,> Apps & Features>Select Office your version>Modify /Repair, once the repair completes re-test (Quick repair)

O365/Office when installed under a Win user admin account, and run from that admin account, auto logs in when the PC is started. There is no separate login for any component.

Win search for Word > Resulting shortcut > Rt click > Pin to task bar > start Word from that shortcut (hover mouse over the shortcut gives access to the 10 most recent docs)

    Same for other core components.

Start eg Word open an old doc via recents/search

Rarely any need to access OneDrive itself.

    Hi Joani,

    Here's what you can do

    1. Uninstall the one drive using add remove programs from control panel.
    2. Now open file explorer
    3. Go to C: -->Users --> Select the account having the issue.
    4. Now look for all the folders named one drive.

    5. Either delete these folders permanently or move them to another location.
    6. Once done , download the one drive from "https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/microsoft-365/onedrive/download"
    7. Go ahead and install it and then run it.
    8. Enter your credentials and then check if you are able to login or not.

Let me know how it goes.
