Is there a workaround to send an Outlook invitation to a group Teams channel calendar?

As documented elsewhere, an Outlook invitation sent to the email address for a Microsoft Teams channel calendar does not show up in the channel's calendar (contrary to the information posted by some users in the linked Q&A thread).

Outlook invitations do show up in the Chat feed for the Teams channel, but they do not show up in the Teams shared calendar (or in the team members' individual calendars).

This is a fundamental usability problem, since many users create invitations exclusively in Outlook. This problem was identified more than two years ago, but Microsoft has not prioritized fixing it. So...

I am curious whether anyone has figured out an efficient workaround that allows a user to send an Outlook invitation to a Microsoft Teams channel and have that invitation show up on the Teams channels' calendar?

    Hi @Jason Pearson

    Welcome to Q&A Community!

To  make sure we're aligned and avoid from any misunderstanding, please let me know a few details about your issue by answering these questions:

    1. Are you signed in with a personal account (e.g., @hotmail.com, @outlook.com), an education account (e.g., @school.edu), or a work account (e.g., @yourcompany.com)?
    2. Could you please share the links to the posts you’re referring to? That would help me better understand the issue.
    3. Also, does the invitation include the channels' email addresses, or are you sharing the invitation directly with the channels?
    4. Have you tried creating the meetings directly in Teams? How did it go?

    Your confirmation would be helpful!

I look forward to your response and feel free to add additional information if there are any. I am happy to assist you further.
