So Ive been playing a game and it keeps closing everytime I open it.
So I searched online and they told me to delete all HKEY files in the Registry Editor. So I tried, but they won't let me. I thought it was because I didnt have permission, so I messed with the permission settings for each HKEY files randomly.

At the end, I still couldnt delete them, so I gave up.
After this, I noticed my PC wasn't producing any audio. My headphones were plugged, and I'm sure it has been working before I even touched the Registry Editor. So I figured something went wrong there.

I tried to search the Registry Editor again but I noticed my windows searchbar wasn't working as well.

I restarted the PC by turning it off manually, but both of these things still didn't work. My PC's audio is completely dead, and I cant even open the settings or search using the windows shortcut anymore. I need help resolving this issue-- And I'm just a child. Do I really have to ask my dad to call experts now?

    Hi Kaname,

Please see if there are Restore Points available on the computer.

To do so, press Win + R, type rstrui.exe and click OK.

    Click Next.

See if there are restore points created before the problem occurred. If so, select that restore point to rollback to that state.

    1. Download Windows 10 Media Creation Tool (MCT) from this link: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=2265055
    2. Run MCT and accept the license agreement.
    3. Click "Upgrade this PC now". This starts the repair installation.

Your apps, settings, and files will be kept by default during a repair install/in-place upgrade.
