How to fix drag and drop links from Favourites to Word document?

Hi, previously I used to be able to drag and drop links from my Favourites page to a Word document, via split screen, as I am trying to in the attached photos. However, in the last couple weeks or so I have realised that this no longer works, and a red cross sign just comes up instead, as seen in the photos. ... Does anyone know how to fix this? Or, at least, does anyone know another way to mass-copy-and-paste a load of links from the Favourites page onto a Word document (I have over a thousand of these pages I want to put onto a document, and clicking 'copy' and 'paste' individually each time would take forever!!)? Thank you1000287205

    Hello @Sabrina Barnes ,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

For your situation, you can follow this workaround:

    • Go to edge://favorites
    • On the top right corner, click on the three-dot button -> Export favorites as shown in the below picture
      image
    • This will save your favorite pages as an html file
    • In the html file, you can select all the links you want and copy to Word document or just drag it to the Word document like you did before.

This solution requires an extra step, as before, but for now, it’s the approach that works best in your situation.

Hope this help. If you find my answer is helpful, you can follow the instructions here to mark my answer so that it can find other with the same question.
