I have been locked out of my ******@hotmail.co.uk account for almost a year now

I have had this account since 2006 and alot of personal information is stored in it, GP appointments, book manuscripts, but above all i have hundreds of short stories on my onedrive and a few finished film scripts, songs and a novel.

I honestly am fed up of the automated response telling me i haven't provided adequate information when i know i have.

Iv'e never had this problem with microsoft before and every time i have been locked out in 20 years I obviously have given the adequate information to get back in, but for the last year i can't get back in.

This is doing my head in, i really need to get into my email and there must be something microsoft can do besides tell me to keep trying.

Iv'e had this email for a long time and it's causing me so much inconvenience I need to speak to someone at microsoft or something, this isn't fair at all iv'e been using outlook since i was 11 and never had this problem, can someone please please please help me??!!!

Hi. I'm Brian and I'll try to help.

Describe, please, exactly what errors you are encountering when trying to recover the account. If you can, include them here exactly as they appear on your screen. Have you seen this guidance? https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/805e8b0d-4141-29b2-7b65-df6ff6c9ce27. Note that there is no call support for Outlook.com accounts.

The automated form you're trying to use is the only way to recover a Microsoft account and you only have one year to do so. At the end of a year, if you haven't logged in, Microsoft permanently empties the mailbox and the form can no longer be used because there will no longer be any information the robot can compare your answers against. After a second year, the account will be permanently closed with no chance of recovery and the address, too, will be permanently disabled.
