Hello! I saw that there are 3 fingerprint readers on the manufacturer's website. Press Windows Key + X > Device Manager > Expand Biometric Devices and see if the device is recognized.

You may have installed the wrong driver. If the device appears in Biometric Device, right-click on the device > Uninstall > Check Attempt to remove the driver for this device (if available) > Restart the computer.

Use Windows Update to download and install the drivers. It will know which driver is correct.

    1. Open System Configuration > Click ''Windows Update'' > ''Check for updates''.
    2. Download all available updates. Click ''Advanced Options'' > ''Optional Updates'' > Select all available drivers and updates > Click ''Download and Install''.

If the driver is not available in Optional Updates, download the three Fingerprint Reader drivers from the Lenovo website and test each one.

    • Install the driver > Restart > Test.
    • Uninstall the driver > Restart > Install the next one.

Their wording is not clear. Some sub-models have fingerprint readers. Other sub-models don't.

Your laptop doesn't have a fingerprint reader.

The power button with fingerprint reader looks like this.

The fingerprint reader can't have stickers in the middle, like the ones on your power button. Therefore, your laptop shouldn't have a fingerprint reader.

Laptop models and submodels vary, each with different specifications and features.
