I experienced a problem with signing to my account through azure portal. I could not sign in with my credentials and I should come from the fact that my account has been in inactive for more than certain days which would result in a deactivation associated with the code AADSTS5000225. I tried to fix this problem according to the suggestions found on the internet but all the solutions did not work and it comes down to the one reason which is inability to sign in to azure portal. I also tried to call for support with the provided contact information to Microsoft support; however, I only met with the robot which could not understand my problem and hung up without giving any helps. I also tried to create the new account in azure portal but I could not go through the last step and I ended to the error with my request. I would like to ask for help in fixing this problem so I can use Azure service again.

    Hello @Tawan Tantikul

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

The error message you encountered indicates that your tenant has been inactive for over 200 days past the billing cycle, triggering Microsoft’s effort to remove inactive tenants. When a tenant remains inactive for this period, the OMS commerce system imposes a login block (AADSTS5000225). Twenty days after the login block is applied, the tenant is permanently deleted.

    Tenant inaccessible due to inactivity

If you plan to unblock your inactive tenant, it’s essential that it has been blocked for less than 20 days. After the 20-day period, the tenant is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

If it has been less than 20 days since the block, please provide the following details for further assistance via private message:

    • Tenant ID
    • Error Code
    • Correlation ID from the recent failure
    • Timestamp from the recent failure
    • Business impact and justification for restoring the tenant, and an explanation of the impact if the tenant cannot be restored.
    • Email id - associated

    Thanks,

    Aditya
