Hello Timra Stump,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum! From your description, I understand your account was hacked so you’ve changed the password, then found that you’re not receiving emails. Here's what you should do next:
1. Secure your account first
- Sign out everywhere: https://account.live.com/activity > Sign out everywhere.
- Protect sign-in methods:
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/security > Security tab > View my sign-in activity.
- Turn on two‑step verification and remove any unfamiliar sign‑in methods.
- Generate a recovery code and store it safely.
2. Fix mail delivery (likely cause):
Sign in to Outlook.com (web) > Settings > Mail:
- Rules: delete any rule you didn’t create (move/delete/forward messages).
- Forwarding: ensure it’s Off and empty.
- Junk email:
- Blocked senders and domains: remove suspicious entries.
- Optionally add your trusted senders/domains to Safe senders and domains.
- Sync email >POP and IMAP: set POP = Off (a POP client set to “delete from server” can make messages vanish).
- Check the Archive and Other tabs as well.
- Account > Storage: Make sure the mailbox isn’t full.
3. Restore missing mail
- Go to Deleted Items folder→ restore important messages.
- At top of Deleted Items, select Recover items deleted from this folder (recoverable for ~30 days) and restore what you need.
4. Test email delivery:
- Send yourself a plain-text test (no links/attachments) from another account (e.g., Gmail) to confirm normal delivery works.

I hope it helps and please feel free to let me know how it goes. Take care and stay safe.
