Hello,

I have a Microsoft 365 Business Basic subscription, and I am being charged for a service I do not use. I cannot find my subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Please help me cancel it immediately and stop any future payments.

  • I don’t have a business. I subscribed because I needed Microsoft on my personal computer. I have been paying for this service for a long time and have not been able to cancel it.

    Hi @Angelica contreras

    Welcome to Q&A Community!

Thank you for contacting us. I understand how frustrating it can be to pay for a service you don’t use.

To  make sure we're aligned and avoid from any misunderstanding, please let me know a few details about your issue by answering these questions:

    1. Based on your description, I understand that you purchased a Business subscription, may I know if you purchased the subscription yourself or someone else made the purchase? And how did you purchase the subscription? Directly from Microsoft, through a reseller, or via an app store (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play)?
    2. If you purchased it yourself, could you clarify why you said that you are "being charged for a service you do not use"? Are there any features that you may not use?
    3. You can still log in to your business account using your personal computer. May I know why you want to cancel the subscription?

To check your subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center :

    • If you’re using the Simplified view, select Subscriptions
    • If you’re using the Dashboard view, go to the Billing > Your products page.

Business subscriptions don’t necessarily require you to have a business, individuals can also purchase and use them because they offer more advanced features than the Family plan. Some key benefits include:

    • Custom business email with your domain
    • Microsoft Teams (business version) for meetings and collaboration
    • SharePoint & OneDrive for Business with advanced security
    • Admin controls for managing users and policies

For detailed information, please refer to What's the difference between Microsoft 365 plans for home or business - Microsoft Support

In case you still would like to cancel the subscription, kindly sign in at account.microsoft.com/services using the account you used for the purchase, then:

    • Look for Microsoft 365 Business Basic under your services.
    • If found, click ManageCancel subscription or Turn off recurring billing

For detailed information, please read this official article Cancel a Microsoft 365 subscription - Microsoft Support

Please reply with the requested details so I can provide you with further supporting steps. I look forward to your response.
