    Hello Nicole,

Thank you for posting question on Microsoft Windows Forum.

Based on the provided message "some settings are managed by our organization" which might indicate that a specific setting has been changed either in the Windows Registry or the Group Policy Editor, which is overriding your ability to manage updates normally.

You can try the following suggested troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

1.Check for a Work or School Account.

    1. Press the Windows Key + I to open Settings.
    2. Go to Accounts.
    3. Click on Access work or school.
    4. If you see an account listed there that you use for work or school, click on it and then click Disconnect.
    5. You will be asked to confirm. Proceed with the disconnection.
    6. Restart your computer
    7. Check if the message is gone and if you can update.

    2.Check Diagnostics & Feedback Settings.

    • Press Windows Key + I to open Settings.
    • Go to Privacy & security.
    • Click on Diagnostics & feedback.
    • Make sure the toggle for Send optional diagnostic data is turned On.
    • User's image
    • Restart your PC and check again

3.Using the Group Policy Editor (Only for Windows Pro/Enterprise/Education)

    • Press Windows Key + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.
    • Navigate to the following path.
    • Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update
    • Now, look at the policies listed in the right-hand pane.
    • The column "State" will show if a policy is "Enabled" or "Disabled". For every single policy that says Enabled or Disabled, double-click on it and change its state to Not Configured.
    • Click Apply and OK.
    • User's image
    • Repeat this for all policies in that folder until they all say "Not Configured".
    • Go to the sub-folder named Manage updates offered from Windows Update and do the same thing for any policies that are enabled or disabled there.
    • Close the Group Policy Editor and restart your computer.

Hope the above information is helpful! If it is. Free feel to hit "Accepted" for benefitting others in community having the same issue too.
