If one person views the registration page five times continuously, you’ll see 5 pageviews, but only 1 unique pageview (in that session) and 1 unique user for the day. If they start new sessions, they could count as multiple unique pageviews (one per session), but still only 1 unique user for that day. The distinction lies in whether the metric resets on a new session or not at all for that user.
Note: A session is a single browsing visit, often defined by a 30-minute inactivity timeout. Five page loads in one session = 5 pageviews but 1 session. If the same user returns later, that’s another session.
