I suddenly stopped receiving email but can still send then

We recently created some new work emails, about 2-3 months ago, they were working just fine with no issues. Suddenly I stopped being able to receive emails, with anyone who tries to send something getting a failure to deliver message, but after a few hours. After doing a test I can still send e-mails, however cannot receive them. We tried checking settings on the account and everything has stayed the same, and nothing states that a subscription or something has ended.

Any idea why this could be happening?

    Hello Nikki,

It sounds like the affected email accounts may be experiencing issues related to DNS configuration or mail flow rules. One common cause is an expired or misconfigured MX record, which can prevent incoming mail from being routed correctly—even if sending still works. I’d recommend checking your domain’s DNS settings to ensure the MX records are still valid and pointing to the correct Microsoft 365 mail servers.

Additionally, if you're using any custom connectors or transport rules, it's worth reviewing them to confirm nothing is inadvertently blocking inbound messages. You can also run a message trace in the Microsoft 365 admin center to see where the delivery is failing and if any throttling or filtering is occurring.
