Just about a couple days ago, i figured i should install some audio drivers for my pc as i felt like my audio were starting to feel kind of wonky. I even had a newly bough IEM earphones, so i thought to myself "If it has nothing to do witn an external piece of hardware then it must be my rig that is experiencing an issue." I say this because i tested my earphones outside my personal desktop so i know for sure it's not the earphones.

So then in the midst of updating my audio drivers, my pc then crashed and led me to a BSOD screen page saying "There isn't enough memory available to create a ramdisk device. Error code: 0xc0000017".

Personally, i then looked up multiple solutions in the net including plugging in a USB flash drive that contains a Windows ISO file, shutting off my device multiple times in order to lead me to the Recovery Page, but everything was to no avail.

I figured at this point, might as well just go full Factory Reset and start out from scratch however, unfortunately, even accessing Windows is impossible asides from Safe Mode, but we all know Factory Reset is ineligible in Safe Mode.

I am in a dire need of assistance and just stucked in a never ending loop of this BSOD screen. I am kindly seeking assistance/professional tips on how to progress next.

Any help or responses would be highly appreciated!

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Simply having a Windows ISO file on a USB flash drive isn't enough. You need to properly create a bootable Windows installation media on the USB flash drive. This allows your computer to boot from it and access recovery tools.

    Below are instructions for creating installation media on a USB flash drive.

    (You will need to create the installation media on a working Windows computer.)

    1. Access the link below and click "Download now" to download the Media Creation Tool;

    https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10

    1. Double-click on the downloaded file to run the tool;
    2. If prompted by UAC (User Account Control), click on "Yes";
    3. Read the terms and click "Accept" if you agree;
    4. Select "Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) for another PC" and click "Next";
    5. Uncheck the "Use the recommended options for this PC" box. Then, select the Language, Edition, and Architecture you want, and click "Next".

    (Most computers use the "64-bit (x64)" Architecture.)

    1. Select "USB flash drive" and click "Next".
    2. Connect the USB flash drive you want to use, click the "Refresh drive list" link, select the USB flash drive, and click "Next";

    (Note that the files on the USB flash drive will be deleted. Make a backup of the files if necessary.)

    1. Wait for the procedure to finish and click "Finish" when the USB flash drive is ready.

    With the installation media in hand, enter the Recovery Environment as instructed below.

    1. Start your computer using the installation media;

    (You may need to change the BOOT property in the device's BIOS settings.)

    1. Choose your language, select "Next", and click "Repair your computer".

    In the Recovery Environment, I suggest checking if there's a restore point created before the issue occurred. Restore the system from that restore point and see if it starts correctly.

    • On the Choose an option screen, select "Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore" and follow the on-screen instructions.

    If the problem persists or you have questions about one of the steps, please let me know.

    Feel free to ask back any questions.
