Hello,

I’m having an issue where the Minecraft Launcher servers can’t detect that I own the game. The launcher keeps showing a message saying it’s trying to verify ownership, and it stays like that indefinitely without connecting.

I’ve already contacted Microsoft Support and provided proof of purchase for Minecraft. They confirmed that I own the game and advised me to post here for further assistance.

In the past, my Microsoft account was hacked — someone gained access to it, changed my Minecraft name, and possibly accessed my game. I managed to recover the account, fix everything, and it was working fine for some time. However, this issue suddenly started happening, and now I’m stuck on the ownership verification screen.

It’s worth mentioning that in the Microsoft Store, the game still shows as purchased, and I can even install and launch it from there. However, when I try to sign in to my Microsoft account on the official Minecraft website, it keeps looping back to the login page and never actually signs me in.

Could someone please help me understand what’s causing this and how to resolve it?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey, I noticed today that I'm having the same issue. No matter how many times I refresh, as well as checking my XBox account, the Minecraft launcher continues to act as if I never purchased Minecraft. I believe there may be something going on with the Microsoft API, or some part of their services are down today. They may fix it in a few days.

EDIT: I seem to have found the solution to my own problem, it was due to me using the wrong email to sign into the Minecraft launcher since I have multiple Microsoft accounts but only one of them had my Minecraft purchase. Maybe try using another account if you have multiple and see if that resolves your problem too.
